When dealing with an angry customer...

DON'T YELL BACK. This is the last thing any employee should ever do. These customers have already rehearsed their case in their head and are ready to blow off steam. Make sure to stay calm and don't take anything personally. Make sure to full listen to their problem and make sure you understand exactly why they are upset. Leave them feeling appreciated and like their opinion matters.
